|The Hanford City Council is recruiting for individuals to serve on various Commissions for terms expiring on December 31, 2012. Vacancies are for the following Commissions:
Planning Commission (1 seat) Neil Jennings
Parking & Traffic Commission (1 seat) Richard Butts
Parks & Recreation Commission (3 seats) Lean Forte, Eddie Brieno, and Richard Douglas
Tree Commission (2 seats) Erin Bell and Stacy Gaston (vacated position)
Members are nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the full Council; must be a resident of the City throughout their term; and shall have no connection with City Government. Applicants are advised that a Statement of Economic Interests (F.P.P.C. Form 700) will be required upon assuming office. Pursuant to State law, any person newly appointed shall successfully complete a course in ethics training approved by the Fair Political Practices Commission and the Attorney General. Each member is required to complete this training every two years.
