Kings/Tulare Homeless Alliance

The Kings/Tulare Homeless Alliance is a consortium of partners that includes homeless service providers, advocacy groups, government agencies and homeless individuals who are working together to address the housing and support service needs of the homeless in this region of the San Joaquin Valley.

Hanford Police Department Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART)

The mission of the HART team is to address the causes of homelessness from the perspective of problems encountered by businesses, residents, the City, and the person experiencing homelessness. To accomplish this broad mission, the HART team stays up to date on current trends and coordinates with many other agencies and organizations.

The HART team includes two full-time police officers. Some of their duties include: responding to calls for service and other crimes involving homeless, meeting with members of the community to address problems, coordinating responses with those needing services, coordinating homeless encampment cleanups, and working with homeless service groups.
