Types of Collection Services

Weekly residential curbside collection service is provided using three, 96-gallon, wheeled automated collection containers.

  • The green container is only for the disposal of greenwaste and food waste
  • The blue container is only for recyclables
  • The black container is only for refuse

In an effort to better serve the community, the City of Hanford has modified the refuse collection schedule beginning September 14, 2020. With the schedule modification, the City's goal is to balance refuse routes and improve efficiency.

See the Refuse Collection Schedule Map (PDF) to determine your collection days.
